swans opening up to more love :-)

Have you ever felt let down or suffered from a “broken” heart?

If so, did you move on, grow and become a better person?

For me, forgiveness has been the single most important thing in moving on from past hurts and from perceived let downs in relationships.

Forgiving others and myself has allowed me to grow, move on and also free the other person to follow their own journey.

A while ago, a friend shared a powerful definition of what love is:-

“Love is wanting for another person what they want for themselves, even if it may not be what you want”

I invite you to ponder on these words for a moment. True love calls for such understanding and letting go.

Having loved and been loved, we all know what a wonderful feeling it is to be “in love”.

Love will surely come again – just remember to:-

Dance like no one is watching.
Sing like no one is listening.
And love like you have never been hurt.

I am reminded of a quote from Shore Slocum, a great teacher and mentor of mine:-

“The love you fail to share is the only pain you live with right now in your life”
