I used to subscribe to various newsletters and endlessly struggled with my email inbox being swamped. It felt like a losing battle, but I have since learnt to stay on top by applying my smart tips about handling emails. As usual there is no rocket science in such things – and simply by unsubscribing from newsletters that no longer resonated with me, I have drastically cut down on incoming emails.
However, once in a while I receive a newly launched newsletter which really resonates and which hits a chord. Last week, I received one such newsletter entitled “Dramatically Different Leadership” from the Full Potential Group, one of the World’s leading Coaching Specialists. There is a great quote in this newsletter which really resoanted with me and my viewpoint of what the world needs today. The quote is from Winston Churchill:-
“To every person there comes in their lifetime that special moment when you are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to you and your talents.
What a tragedy if that moment finds you unprepared or unqualified for work which could have been your finest hour.”
There is a great message here for all us – after all we are all leaders in our lives.
